POSSIBLE MV INFLUENCES - Colour Effects

BLACK + WHITE
EGS OF BLACK + WHITE VIDEOS

The scratched vid:

Different types of black + white, directors Anton Corbijn and Tamra Davis have used this a lot with Davis in her TV and film work adding it with different types of colour film even with Smartphone footage (trend being picked up by Tangerine)

Instead of full black and white,  maybe start with it and switch to colour, and end it with it again? Need to also find out whether it is better to filter the black and white in at cinematography or editing stage.

Or start with colour and have some moments in black and white such as these:

also some hard sounds used here in the fighting can also be effective. ....

UPDATE 17th September 2017

(found this on the Deluxe Music Video Channel)

The first switch from black + white to colour is good, but it gets a monotonous throughout the whole video. If done in a more creative way like the I Feel You Video, and with colour-coding.

Fire is used here.

Or the other way round, from colour to black and white:

I think it's less effective if you start with colour, and then just have insert shots of black + white like SBK did, and Swimming Pools above as well.

DIFFERENT COLOUR EDITING
This red-brown colour frame similiar to films like the beginning of The Wizard Of Oz could be something to add to the colour framing instead of (just) black and white as an alternative to colour.

The way the colour changes from the beginning through vision (POV)

CHANGING EFFECT
This is from the album cover of Nirvana's album Bleach, but this filter could also be used for music video and/or. Branding?
